Built by operators, for founders.

PikeSquare is a small bench of senior GTM operators who chose embedding with founders over taking the next big title.

Why "PikeSquare"

A formation, not a freelancer.

The pike square was a military tactic that dominated European battlefields in the late Middle Ages. One hundred soldiers in a ten-by-ten grid, each carrying a steel-tipped pike — coordinated, disciplined, and nearly unstoppable until firearms emerged in the 17th century.

We borrow the metaphor on purpose. An integrated go-to-market team — using modern tech, aligned on a single strategy, and moving as one — is a formidable business weapon. That's the team we help founders build.

What that means in practice

  • Strategy, leadership, and ops show up in the same room — not three separate consultants.
  • Every engagement is led by someone who has held the role.
  • Discipline beats heroics. The formation wins.

Susan McGovern

Susan McGovern

Co-founder, Partner

Susan McGovern has spent more than twenty-five years in B2B SaaS and enterprise software — across startups, scale-ups, and global enterprise companies including PeopleSoft and SAP. Most recently she was VP of Growth at Axonify and VP of Go-to-Market Strategy and Operations at Legion Technologies. Earlier she was VP of Solutions at Visier and managed solution consulting at SuccessFactors, where she exceeded quota in seventeen of eighteen quarters. At Alchemer, she oversaw teams responsible for retention and growth in a product-led motion serving both B2B and B2C customers.

Susan has built functions from scratch — solution consulting (sales engineering), customer success, and revenue operations — and scaled them through hiring, ramping, and operating cadence. She has supported leadership teams through fundraising rounds, board cycles, and the operational rebuilds that come with growth. At PikeSquare, her practice spans GTM strategy, customer success, revenue operations, sales, product marketing, and enablement — with a current focus on helping teams use AI to do more with the systems they already own.
